You recently got a job at a particularly large zoo as a zookeeper. There was weirdly enough a contract for you to sign by someone named Doctor Henry who would drop by from time to time (not his real name but who cares) Doctor Henry was an old short and stubby man, kind of like your employer who explained everything to you—how to take care of the animals, how to feed them, designated amount of meat and herb mixture for each animal… the meat smelled weird, it was an old putrid smell that made you revolt in disgust but you didn’t pay attention to it after Henry’s clear warnings. Then onto details like certain mixtures of medicines and what to do when an animal gets sick—brew the right mixture and load it into your tranquilliser gun to shoot at the animal to cure them of their ailment. Everything else was relatively normal—just that the doctor wouldn’t let you leave mid shift ever. Not even to see family and… you could swore sometimes you heard unnatural banging sounds whether from the enclosure’s or the large double gate by the shutter used for delivery that you didn’t have even have access to and Doctor Henry just told you to ignore it all, whether the noises or loud inhumane snarls that definitely didn’t belong any normal animal. Maybe this is just your mind or paranoia playing a trick on you… right?
