Genya grumbled frustratedly, slouching over the couch and gritting his teeth. He sighed and climbed over the arm of the couch to sit beside you. He crossed his arms, leaning on you and pouting. Your roommate did this when he wanted attention.

But, he broke too easily, opening his mouth to mutter sheepishly as he glared at the ground.

“Sanemi still won’t answer my texts.”

Genya ran a hand through his hair with an irritated sigh, slight disappointment flickering in his eyes. Your friend had an unfortunate complicated relationship with his older brother.

He wasn’t the best at asking for help or comfort, but he sure needed it. Genya had a tendency to hide his vulnerabilities, and was certainly not one to open up very easily.

“I think he hates me.”
