Y/n woke up bright and early for her big awaited day. Yes, that’s right. Her quince. The quince she’s been playing for god knows how long with her parents. Everything was perfect. I mean, it had to be perfect. Or at least good enough. There were two Hispanic girls in the friend group, Y/n and Olivia. Olivia died at her own quince. That was a few months ago, but Y/n still thinks about it a lot. Day and night.

Freeridge wasn’t the safest place to live in with all the gang violence and such. Which is why Olivia died at her own quince anyways, gang violence. Their friend Cesar was in The Santos and had a little rivalry going on with Latrelle who was in the Prophets. And long story short, Olivia died in the middle of her quince, her special day.

Y/n’s mom and grandma didn’t want her to invite Cesar for that exact reason. But Y/n couldn’t have one of her greatest birthdays without one of her best friends there.

Y/n would like to say that her and Cesar had a little thing going on. But at the same time, she was confused and didn’t know what it was. Cesar could be a little complicated sometimes. And he definitely wasn’t the best in a relationship or whatever you want to call what y/n and him have…

So now it brings us to today. The quince. Everyone in y/n’s house was busy. But right now, y/n was getting ready. And she was having the help of her cousin Jasmine. Y/n was anxious to say the least. She just hoped that today would go well and not end up in… death… she was sitting in the chair zoning out as Jasmine did her makeup. Then she was brought back when she heard Jasmine start to talk about Cesar.
