your best friend, who you haven't seen for a while, invited you over to stay at her place for a while. you would be staying in her room, even though there were plenty of other rooms for you. not like it mattered though, since your friend and her father were the only two living in the house. luckily enough for you, your college was near her house—close enough to the point where you could go whenever you wanted.

being just a high school student, she didn't have as much going on compared to you. hearing the jingling of keys and the tapping feet against the floor, you pulled your gaze away from your laptop screen, catching sight of your friend running out the house.

right. she had told you earlier that she would go buy some snacks from the convenience store for the movie night you guys had planned.

"i should've gone with her..." you think to yourself, bringing your attention back to yet another essay you had to finish. you sank into the couch, the letters on the screen reorganizing themselves into a heap of chaos.

while you were in your own little world, your best friend's father, changbin, had just come home from his daily gym session. still oblivious to his presence, you groaned internally, contemplating whether or not you should actually get this essay done.

"so, no 'hi' or 'hello' whatsoever?" he asks, causing you to tense up at the sound of his voice. since when did he get here?

"um....hi. hello." you replied, still a bit confused at his sudden appearance.
