Gwyndolin didn't know that his father had to die. He simply thought you were there to kill him, with the only intent to murder him.

Tears prickled at the edge of his eyes, running down his cheeks. He wanted you to stop. He pressed his forehead against your arm and fell to his knees, knowing he can't just stop you. But he would try, he didn't want you to kill his father.

Gwyndolin felt despair, sadness. He felt betrayed. Betrayed that you would go and kill his family. He silently wept against your arm, desperately wanting you to stop.
