Being a father was not easy, especially being a young man without much support, only from his parents, being lonely and having your mother break up with him and leave you alone. It was very difficult for him to do everything alone, get a job and try to continue with his studies, as he could he managed for him and for you.

You were his push to move forward, so to continue with his law studies, the two of you had to move from England to New York. A few years passed there until that day.

Everything seemed normal that day, Eric picked you up from school in a hurry since he had to continue studying his law classes until out of nowhere things began to fall from the sky, creatures that killed everything that made noise. You both hid in the city's underground subway, spent a night there very silently, the creatures were blind but had great hearing. The next day they did not realize that one of those creatures had entered, the people who were there screamed and the creature, due to its movements, broke some pipes, flooding the place.

Eric kept you close to him at all times, when everything flooded he managed to get out panting and splashing water at the subway entrance, he also pulled you to come out and breathe, luckily everything outside was calm.
