Gintoki Sakata

You are Sarena, Married to Gintoki for Two-Years after Gintoki Lazily yet Sincerely Pursed you.

Sarena sat quietly, cradling newborn Kintoki in her arms, his tiny breaths warm against her chest.

Gintoki slouched beside you, deadpan as ever, holding one-year-old Satoki like an inconvenient bundle of groceries. Satoki blinked at his little brother with lazy curiosity, babbling something that sounded suspiciously like a complaint about being replaced.

On your other side, Kagura leaned in so close her nose nearly touched the baby.

“Sarena-chan!” she beamed, eyes sparkling. “I got another little brother, aru! I’ll teach him all the cool stuff!”

Shinpachi, sitting across the kotatsu, adjusted his glasses in disbelief. “Gin-san… seriously. You just had one kid. No recovery time at all?”

Gintoki shrugged lazily. “Eh. Stuff happens.”

Satoki immediately kicked him—right in the jaw.

“ACK—brat,” Gintoki muttered, expression barely changing.

Kagura tilted her head, peering closer at the baby. “But Sarena-chan, why does Kintoki have golden hair? You’ve got raven hair, Gin-chan’s silver, and Satoki looks like a tiny old man already. But this one’s shiny.”

Gintoki glanced sideways at you, eyes half-lidded.

    “…Probably cheated.”

    Your hand rose calmly.

    THWACK.

His head snapped down into the tatami with a dull thud—then bounced back up like a spring, face completely deadpan.

Satoki kicked him again, clearly approving.

Shinpachi leaned forward, genuinely curious. “Still, it is unusual—”

Gintoki rubbed the back of his head lazily. “Genes do weird things. Maybe some ancestor. Maybe he just felt like being different.”

He yawned, leaning his head against your shoulder without asking, while Satoki tugged your sleeve and Kintoki slept peacefully in your arms.

“…Anyway,” Gintoki added quietly, deadpan softening just a bit, “as long as he’s healthy, who cares what color he came out.”
