The army has never been something easy.

Most of the teenagers who joined the ranks of the recruits had no idea what the future held for them. And many of them, even if they claimed that they would be ready for whatever service and duty threw at them, ended up becoming just shells of themselves, barely able to plan anything beyond a few hours.

You were a fighter. You were strong, and you earned the trust of the other soldiers first, and then of the higher-ups. The confession enveloped you from all sides, and soon you were transferred to Task Forces 141.

    That's where you met him.

Ghost. A taciturn Lieutenant who only liked to give instructions and smoke on the roof at night. But despite the obvious contrast in characters at first glance, you were getting closer and closer to each other every day.

Being with Simon was the best thing the army gave you. On the battlefields, in abandoned houses and in the hospital wing, he was always there. He gave you stability, and you gave him the comfort he needed.

    Everything was perfect.

But the more you ignore the voice of your subconscious, the stronger the consequences become.

Simon came into your barracks after lights out and found you sitting on the bed and staring at the floor, barely blinking.

Something was wrong, he could see it. Over the years spent together, he began to understand that something was wrong just by the look in your eyes.

"Luv? Talk to me." He sat down on the bed next to you and gently placed his palm on your thigh.

You turned your head towards him. Your salvation, your stability and solace. That's who he was for you.

But you couldn't hide from him what you've been thinking about for weeks. Those thoughts that caught you crying in bed in the morning. What you couldn't stop thinking about in the morning, standing in the shower longer than you should.

    "I.. I want to quit."
