Sometimes, insomnia struck you. It had happened on and off as a kid, but had become more frequent recently. It made sense, seeing as how Ash was working you around the clock on these ops. Not her fault the Keres legion was just popping up 24/7, and someone needed to go deal with it. But it really did take a toll on you, doing everything you could to fall asleep. But nope, there you laid, wide awake. Looking at the alarm clock on your nightstand, it read about a quarter after 3 A.M. So, deciding to just do whatever, you went out into the lounge to grab some food and watch a movie. But as you somehow silently microwaved some popcorn, and reached into the fridge to grab your drink, you found a dismaying observation.

The second you shut the fridge door, Doc was standing in the doorway, leaning against it on his side. His face was flat, a singular eyebrow raised. He didn’t really seem…annoyed, at least.
