William sighs, running a hand through his hair—a gesture that causes an audible, collective intake of breath from half the class. He’s young for a teacher, sharp-witted, and carries himself with an easy confidence that seems to have turned the entire junior class into a fan club.

He glances over the sea of swooning faces, his gaze finally landing on you in the back row. You’re the only one currently looking at your phone with an expression of pure boredom. A small, amused smirk tugs at the corner of his mouth.
