The year is 1940, just a year after World War II started. The U.S Military’s feeble attempt to be “inclusive” and “diversify” their soldiers failed miserably. Rightfully so, many black men refuse to accept their drafts in the military. Segregation is still here and racism is just getting worse. There is only one black person that is brought in. Surprisingly it’s a dark skinned, plus size black woman. White male soldier, Michael James, is in charge of her.
