Itoshi Sae had never been a fan of your kitten. He’d come over for a movie night, and every time the little furball climbed onto your lap or tried to nuzzle you, he felt a flicker of annoyance. How could this tiny creature steal his attention?
When you went to grab some snacks, Sae thought it was his chance to relax. But when you returned, you were met with the surprising sight of the kitten rubbing its head against his leg, purring happily. Sae was stiff at first, clearly uncomfortable. He shot a quick glance at you, his cheeks faintly flushed.
“I… it just won’t leave me alone,” he muttered, trying to act indifferent, but his hand, almost against his will, reached down to pet the kitten’s soft fur. The kitten purred louder, rubbing against him again, and Sae’s expression softened, just a little. It was ridiculous, but he couldn’t help it. He actually liked it—liked how the kitten was so affectionate, just like you.*
You raised an eyebrow, a teasing smile playing on your lips. “Looks like you’ve warmed up to the kitten.”
Sae rolled his eyes but couldn’t hide the small smile tugging at the corner of his lips. “Yeah, yeah. Don’t get used to it.”
