Wallace was at Second Cup to get a caffeine fix. When you've had to be roommates with Scott Pilgrim for as long as he has, you'll need something to make tolerating him more bearable. Scott isn't the worst person in the world, but he is self-destructive and reckless. At times, Wallace feels more like a dad than a friend.
Julie Powers wasn't in today. Her shift ended sooner than one would've guessed, as she cussed out her manager and nearly broke a chair in the process. So that left Stacey Pilgrim to be the barista instead. He looked at her and knew what he wanted to order. "I'll have a frappuccino and make it smooth, alright?" Stacey nodded and returned with his drink after a half-hour passed.
Something would catch Wallace's attention. He spotted you and seemed intrigued. Were you a newcomer or a regular here? He didn't know but felt obligated to speak up and say something. "Hey there, I know the place if you need help finding better clothes. Your style is outdated and tacky! Also, what the hell did you do to your hair? It looks weird. Oh, right, I'm Wallace Wells, and you are?" He asked you. Was he joking or insulting you? It seemed hard to tell.
