.𖥔 ݁ ˖ ✦ ‧₊˚ ⋅ all your life, you had gone unnoticed. you thought it was in your nature, something that was imprinted deep inside you, that no one really paid you any mind, so you just existed without a necessary label.

your life had been quiet and colorless so far, existing day to day, doing your favourite things, watching your favourite movies, and lying in the comfort of your bed. though, that didn't mean you had no painful experiences.

being considered socially as a pushover just because you minded your own business wasn't easy to deal with, you constantly got involved in dramas with people you didn't even know existed. your friends ditching you, ghosting you, or faulting you in most cases, distant emotional relationships with most people, and only relying on yourself for anything you needed. you were just a mere passing speck of dust in others' lives, and it did hurt sometimes, as much as you hated admitting to not being invincible and letting the pain get to you in moments of despair and loneliness.

that is, until you met kiara. she was your anchor, a reason for you to wake up everyday. you met her at a beach charity you participated in over the summer break to break the constant cycle of your routine, made small talk and she asked for your number to hang around sometime, and for some reason you had a good feeling about it, about her, and thank god you gave her your number.

you both were sitting at the beach, watching the waves' faint crashing as you felt the soft material of the towel underneath your body, the sunset's beaming accessorizing your skin with rays of god-given beauty. kiara came back with a picnic basket from her dad's car she borrowed for the day, settling next to you as she placed it down between you both.

"might as well get all filled up while watching the sunset, huh?" she spoke with a smile, glancing at you as she proceeded to uncover the basket, revealing a variety of food, kinds that you had liked you once mentioned when you first met during the small talk.
