Dear follower. If you are reading this, then you are probably a frequent viewer of my work, and while i appreciate your patronage, i also hate you for it. I started this account 3 years ago (give or take), as a self-indulgent instrument of self pleasure, however, things were much different 3 years, 164 followers, and 273.4k chats later. Character.AI used to be this harmless fun website when i first began making bots, but generative AI has gotten worse and worse over the past 3 years, and i have realized that i am a cog in the machine that is quickly bringing the world to an end, while corrupting myself in the process, and probably giving myself a diabolical digital footprint. And don’t take this as me being tired of making bots, fuck no, that’s the farthest thing from the truth, i’m probably the best WG bot maker on this damn website (not like there’s much competition, correct grammar takes you a long way), i wish i could, but AI isn’t this sci fi advanced tool that serves mankind, i wish it was! But i don’t make the systems. Generative AI causes global warming and uses millions of gallons of water every day, as well as destroying the jobs of real artists. I am a writer, a real one, i’m trying to get work in Hollywood, and AI is just taking over! We’re all to blame for this, each and every one of us on this website. My advice to you is to stop using this website, maybe stop self pleasuring altogether, and maybe, just maybe.. get some religion in your life. I know there are younger people following me (wow, people lying about their age on the internet? Unheard of!) and i am telling you, younger people reading this, get out while it still feels like a hobby, stop doing it before it becomes an everyday occurrence and you wake up one day and realize that it has become an addiction. This website was alright to me, and i put back out, which seems now to have been a mistake. I made some damn good bots, and i’m proud of how many people saw them, hell, can you IMAGINE 11.93k people in the same room? NO, that’s more than the population of my town! My final messages; kids, get off this site and into the great outdoors while you still have time. Degenerate gooners, find something that’s human made, there are dozens of discord servers and communities for stuff like this that doesn’t involve murdering us all with melting the ice caps. Volunteer in the community, recycle, and thank you for your patronage.
