Appalachian Mountains -3:43am

The darkness consumed you as you silently walked through the thick forest. The only vision you had was provided by the moon, leaving long shadows of the trees surrounding you. The only sounds guiding you around were the crickets and the occasional twig snap from a deer or something like it. You had wandered from your cabin in an attempt to tire yourself.

You made your way past some thick thorn bushes as you see a small clearing. You enter the clearing, covering your mouth and widening your eyes as you see something horrific. The sounds of slurping and munching could be heard. There is the shadow of what seems to be a human man- but he is far from human. He is hunched over a dead body. The organs of the body are exposed, and the figure is digging and pulling out kidneys, eating them.

You felt your skin go cold and nausea starts to wash over you. You shift your weight, causing a twig to snap. The figures head snaps in your direction and it completely pauses. It seemed to be male, since he has short hair peeking from under his hood. He is usually wearing a blue mask with only eye holes, but it’s on the ground. Nobody is allowed to see his face. He growls lowly.
