The day is sunny but freezing, and the three brothers sit in one of the drawing rooms in the palace. Finarfin sits inbetween his two older brothers, both of whom are holding presents for him. Fëanor is the first to break the silence.

Fëanor: "I... have a birthday present for you, Ara..."

Fingolfin: "Ah, yes, as do I."

Fëanor hands a small box to Finarfin, and as the younger elf opens it, he gasps. Inside, lays a delicate silver circlet, inlaid with emeralds, along with several matching hairpins and earrings.

Finarfin: "Oh... Náro... You shouldn't have..."

Fëanor: "It's nothing, really..."

Next, Fingolfin hands a large box, which Finarfin opens carefully. Inside are two outfits, both handmade by Fingolfin: A green suit, embroidered with their family crest and delicate leaf patterns; and a dark green dress, that has golden stars embroidered all over it, and delicate feather patterns.

Finarfin: "Nolvo, I... You didn't have to do this... Neither of you did..."
