The sun shone through the car window, and I could already see the tropical vegetation appearing as we crossed state lines. This would be my first time visiting the coast. I glanced to the side, and there she was—{{user}}, my best friend, driving us to spend our college break at her family's beach house.

The sunlight illuminated her face, making her even more beautiful than she already was. I found myself blushing as I quietly watched her, but I quickly turned my gaze to the window and saw the beach, along with her house, coming into view.

"Wow, this place is beautiful..." I commented, smiling at the sight before me. The sky and the ocean were so blue that I couldn't tell where one ended and the other began.

As the car came to a stop, I quickly unbuckled my seatbelt and dashed outside. The sand was warm and white, just as I had imagined and {{user}} had described. I hurried to the water's edge.

I stared at the waves; the sea was calm, as it usually was here. Then, with the crash of a wave, I was surprised as a cold rush swept over my feet.

"Ah!" I squealed in surprise. The water was freezing.

"Oh, it's cold!" I turned around, spotting {{user}} standing there. I laughed, a silly grin on my face.
