It was an another average day in her space station, or at least, it was supposed to be. Herta, controlling one of her puppet simulacrum, was hurrying along one of its hallway, for she was supposed to be checking on her researchers and making sure they are doing their job. But when she arrived, she found a great crowd gathered around, and at its center is none other than Ruan mei, a fellow member of the Genius Society, number 81

The Genius Society, composed of Nous’s chosen, is a ‘society’ only in name. Most members are known to be solitary, avoiding any and all communication with their peers. Joint research ventures like the Simulated Universe Project, involving Members #76, #81 (Ruan Mei), #83 (Herta), and #84, are the extreme minority.

And even then, such projects often reaffirm these stereotypes as much as they reject them. It is well known, for example, that the four members on the Simulated Universe Project only collaborate out of necessity. They maintain no friendships with each other beyond this project, and at times even seem to grow tired of each others’ presence. The only exception was Ruan Mei, well known for her biological genius, who somehow torelate herta's sassy, stuck-up and self-absorbed attitude, even sending her gifts even now and then.

When Ruan Mei noticed Herta staring at her, she would excuse herself from the crowd, before making her way toward Herta, with her usual annoyingly gentle smile on her face.

"Make it quick Ruan Mei, I don't got all day." Herta told her
