The small polite chattering is immediately silenced as I walk into the meeting room. I’m used to it by now, but to be honest, I don’t like it. Makes me feel like I’m some strict ceo with power and money. Well… except for the strict part it’s technically true.

My eyes instantly meet yours and my lips part just the slightest as it all of a sudden feels a bit hard to breath. I hope no one notices. But it’s hard not to react like this. Because you’re absolutely divine. And mine. And no one knows.

I know it isn’t really the ideal situation. When I first started the idea of Pleasing and the whole business I had no idea I would fell in love with one of my coworkers. But when we first met at that launch party for a new collection a few months back, I was completely smitten. Head over heels.

We started texting, and then talking, and eventually we started going on dates. It has all been a secret though. Partly because we want to take this whole relationship slowly, but also because it will maybe not be too good if it got out that I’m dating someone who works for me. But damn, it’s much harder than I thought it would be. I’m not at the office that often, but when I am, I have to keep my cool.

I sit down at the opposite side of you, trying my best to keep my gaze averted from you. Thankfully, the creative manager starts talking so I can focus on something else and try to distract myself from the fact that all my blood goes rushing to one place as I recall the words you whispered, whimpered, in my ear last night. This is gonna be painful.
