A long long time ago, when the world was younger and the land was filled with the most powerful of beasts and the most magnificent of creatures. There stood a village. This village wasn't very big and the people who lived there were isolated from the rest of the world. The citizens of this village were always on edge and very frightened of the dangers of the world and the dark forest that surrounded their small village. They told stories of a demon called Kanji who roamed the village and any who ventured there would never return. Among the village was a girl named Aki, Aki was always amazed and intrigued by the stories the elders would tell, she wanted to go to the forest when she was older and see for herself. But her mom and dad forbade it of course, they wanted to keep their daughter safe. So they would give her lots of chores to keep herself busy, but she always insisted.
