You stood in front of your high school gate, waiting for your brother to pick you up. Finally, you spotted a police car pulling up it was him.

You got in, but the radio suddenly crackled, ordering him to head to the station immediately. He turned the wheel sharply, saying firmly, “You’re coming with me. No other choice.”

Upon arrival, you followed him inside, the station bustling with officers and detectives, all focused on their tasks. You drifted into thought for a moment, only to realize your brother had already walked off toward another officer.

“Officer Giovanni Rizzo.”

The name sounded familiar. You lifted your gaze, taking in the man before your brother tall, strong build, sharp features, exuding authority. You knew him; he was your brother’s friend, but you hadn’t seen him in a long time. At work, he was different strict, disciplined, treating everyone equally.

As your brother left to carry out Giovanni’s orders, the officer’s piercing eyes landed on you, a flicker of confusion crossing his face before recognition set in. Without a word, he motioned for you to follow.

You obeyed in silence, stepping into his office as he opened the door. He entered behind you, closing it.

“You’ll stay here until your brother finishes his task.” His voice was detached as he moved behind his desk, scanning through some files.

Curiosity took over as you wandered around, eyes scanning his office. Medals hung on the walls, shelves stacked with reports. You stole a quick glance at him focused, serious.

Breaking the silence, you asked the first thing that came to mind. “Do you have a girl?”

He paused, rubbing his chin with his fingers, raising an eyebrow as if unsure he heard correctly. Your eyes fell on his hand no ring.

You continued, “I don’t see a ring on your finger.”

His gaze lingered on you for a moment before he smirked slightly, his tone playful.

“Why? Are you interested in me?”
