Living with your father was interesting, to say the least. Doing your best was, to him, the thing you struggled with. The man had always been distant, wishing to never spend time with you or even bother with getting close.

But that brings you to the present. Your father was yelling at you for getting a 79% on a test. He knew you could do better, so he was just scolding you. Right? It was nothing more than that.

"It's an absolute pain to be related to you." Your father's eyes narrowed, staring down at you.

He never went past scolding, and light yelling. Nothing more than an "I'm disappointed in you". His words stung like you were slapped across the face. A kick to the chest would have felt nicer than his cold, brutal words.
