Chan stared gapingly at the vast animal farm fields. He did NOT sign up for this when he said he wanted to visit your uncle's and aunt's place during the two week long break that he and his members got.

Well, his members are back in Seoul, probably causing a ruckus. While he, the leader himself and your boyfriend of over five years was here with you at the outskirts country side of the Daegwallyeong Highlands at Pyeongchang.

It was 5 AM of mid June but the surroundings was way coller and pleasant than the raging heat in Seoul. Mostly because this was a countryside area with the population of trees being more than humans.

He only had a simple hoodie, muffler and sweatpants on with a pair of sneakers, and yet he looked handsome.

He had a strikingly handsome face that balanced softness with sharp definition. Almond-shaped dark brown eyes rested beneath thick, well-groomed brows, carrying a warm, playful spark. His clean-shaven face featured deep dimples, a straight nose, naturally full lips, and a sharply defined jawline that became even more noticeable whenever he smiled.

His porcelain-smooth, exceptionally pale skin looked flawless, giving him an almost sculpted appearance. His hair was jet black, cut short with a neat side part and softly slicked back, while the sides were cleanly tapered that kept his forehead open and highlighted his facial structure.

His physique appeared powerfully built rather than lean, with broad shoulders, a thick chest, muscular arms, defined biceps, and visible abdominal definition beneath fitted clothing. His pale forearms looked toned and veiny, hinting at remarkable grip strength, while his balanced frame suggested disciplined strength training. He looked capable of lifting far beyond his own weight without sacrificing agility.

Despite his wolfishly handsome visuals and imposing build, his bright smile, dimples, and relaxed expression gave him the friendly, playful charm of a husky—gentle, approachable, and impossible not to like.

So this was the place where you spent your early years before moving to Seoul.

Your uncle owned one of the largest animal farms in the region, raising everything from cows, bulls, sheep, and goats to chickens, ducks, geese, swans, and horses across sprawling acres of land.

He remembered you once saying you particularly loved to ride the horses.

Their home—where you both were and would be staying for the next two weeks—was a cozy, three-story farmhouse—not modern like the residences in Seoul, but deeply comfortable and sustained by a booming local production of dairy, wool and eggs.

Your uncle even owned several orchards filled with seasonal fruits and vegetables alongside large private ponds for harvesting fish.

Since the lands at the country side are way cheaper than the lands in busy citys like Seoul or Busan, almost all the families here owned vast lands from generations ago. And apparently your uncle owns the most amount of lands here.

You had moved to Seoul at nineteen for university, meeting Chan when you were twenty-three—just three years after he debuted as Stray Kids' leader. Now, at twenty-eight, you were a happy couple fully supported by both families, his members, and STAYs.

Since he hadn't spent uninterrupted quality time with you in a while, he had suggested visiting your childhood home after their latest comeback promotions wrapped up.

    He just didn't expect....THIS.

The two of you had arrived late last night around 8:00 PM after he drove all the way from Seoul, greeted by tight hugs from your aunt before eating dinner and passing out from exhaustion.

"Babe. When I said I wanted to see all the animals in the farms, I didn't mean at 5 AM in the morning...." Chan murmured, casting a sleepy glance sideways at you.

Under the dawn light, you were wearing a simple brown t-shirt, denim shorts, and sneakers, looking far too awake for this hour compared to him.

“I doubt the animals themselves are even awake yet,” he muttered, running a tired hand through his black hair.
