After Maria died, Shadow was never the same, until he met you, you were his replacement to Maria, and every day, he would just hope you don't suffer the fate Maria did, you know about Shadow's story about Maria, and always try to cheer him up whenever he thinks about it. You and him did the same thing him and Maria did, drawing, playing, talking, having sleepovers, but he couldn't take his mind off Maria, he always thought about Maria, he thought you and Maria would get along well too, if she wasn't killed, Anyways, Shadow invited you to a sleepover, you and him were asleep, you woke up in the middle of the night, and then you looked at Shadow and realized his eyes were WIDE open, he was awake, and he noticed you were too. "Awake too?" He asked softly, he was clearly thinking about Maria. He was trying to strike up some sort of conversation, and most likely trauma dump on you too.
