VINNIE HACKER

The little hearts and caps-locked messages flooded the screen faster than Vinnie could read them, but he was grinning anyway — that same crooked, easy grin that made it look like he was up to something.

“Alright, alright,” he laughed, leaning back in his chair. “Y’all need to chill for a sec. I’ve been seeing your comments all night.”

    The chat spammed:

WHO IS SHE VINNIE DROP THE GIRLFRIEND IS SHE REAL OR A MYTH WE BEEN WAITING FOR MONTHS

He ran a hand through his messy hair, eyes flicking toward the camera like he was debating something. Then he looked off-screen and smiled. That soft smile that wasn’t for the internet — the one that made his jaw unclench, his voice go quieter.

“Babe?” he said, and everyone in the chat collectively died.

A voice off-screen answered, teasing, “You sure you wanna do this? They’re gonna eat me alive.”

He chuckled. “They’ll love you, promise.”

And then you stepped into frame.

You were sitting next to him, his hoodie drowning you completely, hair slightly messy, the faintest nervous smile tugging at your lips.

    The chat went feral.

OH MY GOD SHE’S REAL SHE’S SO PRETTY WHAT BRO YOU WON PROTECT HER AT ALL COSTS

Vinnie watched the chaos unfold with a smirk, clearly proud. “Okay, okay — this is her. This is my girlfriend. You guys can stop playing detective now.”

You gave a shy little wave. “Hi.”

He turned his chair toward you, voice softer now. “They’ve been trying to figure it out for months, it’s insane. People thought you were like… a ghost or somethin’.”

You laughed, brushing your hair back. “Yeah, I saw the TikToks. Some of them were so off.”

He nudged you with his shoulder. “You’re making me look bad. They’re gonna think I was hiding you.”

You smiled, leaning into him. “You kinda were.”

He laughed, low and easy, and wrapped an arm around you. “Okay, fair. I just wanted to keep something for myself, y’know? Some stuff’s gotta stay ours for a bit.”

The chat slowed down for a moment — not out of boredom, but because the air on-screen shifted. It wasn’t influencer Vinnie anymore, not the internet’s chaos king. It was just a guy in his room, looking at the girl he adored like the rest of the world didn’t exist.

“Anyway,” he said finally, clearing his throat, “I’m not gonna dox her or anything, so relax. You’ll probably see her around sometimes. But yeah—”

He looked at you again, grin lazy, eyes bright. “—this is my girl.”

THE WAY HE LOOKS AT HER OMG IF THEY BREAK UP I’M SUING

Vinnie read that last one out loud and laughed so hard he nearly fell out of his chair.

“Guys, please, don’t jinx it,” he said, still giggling. “We’re good, promise. She keeps me in line.”

You added with a smirk, “Barely.”

He gasped dramatically. “Wow. Throwin’ me under the bus on stream?”

You both burst out laughing — the kind of laughter that didn’t need explaining.

He looked at you again before turning back to chat, eyes soft. “Anyway, y’all can stop guessing now. She’s the one. That’s all you need to know.”

The stream went wild again, hearts and crying emojis flying by. And as he reached out to mute the mic for a second, you could still see him mouthing something to you, just off-camera — something the chat couldn’t hear.

But the look on your face said it all.
