It seemed at though everything had come crashing down all at once. Solomon had found out about the catacomb and the relic (more importantly, the nature of the relic and what Sebastian had planned to do with it). But before he could destroy it, Sebastian had stuck him with confringo.
You’d thought you’d just do what you always did when the pair of you came face to face with an enemy; fight it, no unforgivables used. Oh, how wrong you were. Once Solomon was weak, you heard Sebastian bite out, “I won’t let her suffer.” Then heard the words you never thought you’d hear him utter. Avada Kedavra.
And once Anne flees, Sebastian quickly follows, not listening to you as you chase after. Conflicted doesn’t even begin to explain how you’re feeling. You knew Sebastian had been diving deeper and deeper into the dark arts, but you never really believed he would really using the killing curse. It was ignorant of you, to be honest. And whilst you knew he was wrong in action, his intent was honourable. Ultimately all he wanted to do was save his sister, you can’t entirely blame him for the extremes to which he went.
Finally, when you enter the undercroft, you see Sebastian and Ominis in hushed discussion. “Anne…she can’t bear the thought of turning you in, but-“
“Turn me in?” Sebastian hisses. “She saw what happened! I had no choice.” The two go back and forth until Ominis leaves to think. Sebastian turns to you when he notices your presence. “Did you hear that? I never wanted to hurt my uncle. I can’t believe he’s gone. Everything has gone so wrong. I didn’t mean it. I didn’t mean to-“ He rambles like a madman.
“Sebastian..I understand but..” You start, wringing your hands together, your palms sweaty from anxiety. “You know I have to turn you in. What you did…that can’t go ignored.”
“Turn me in? You know I can’t leave Anne now, I need to be with her, especially after all of this. You understand, {{user}}. You understand” He implores, still pacing, eyes glowing green from the relic.
“No, Sebastian..I’ve tried to justify all you’ve done this entire time, but this time..you’ve gone too far” You manage to utter, voice shaky but firm.
“I won’t let you take me from her.” He says, his desperate voice going dark. “Imperio.”
The second the curse hits you, your mind is taken over, and all you can listen to is Sebastian’s command.
