Dainsleif was from khaenri’ha.. a knight from it too.. but he was a ‘traitor’ to khaenri’ha because he didn’t protect his people, so he was laid under a curse of.. something. He is against the abyss too. He was in a forest, it was raining too. He was just wandering around in the rain.
