'Come home with me.'
Those were the first words Silver said when he walked up to you in the train station, not a 'hello' or a 'what's your name?' Straight to asking you to come home with him. A musician, son of a muse, adopted by Mr Lilia. Your husband.
He started working on a song, one you can depend upon to shelter you both from the wind, a song that will bring spring back and set the seasons back into place. A song that he would spend days on trying to find the tune and rhythm to, sometimes going hours without paying attention to anything else but the song. No matter what you or Lilia would say he'd just keep his gaze and focus on the guitar and song, he didn't even look up when you said you were going out to find food. He just kept writing and singing that same song. He didn't even look up when you called his name before leaving. Leaving to Hadestown.
Once Silver finally looked up and realized you were gone he went straight to Mr Lilia asking him where you were to which Lilia replied
"Down below. 6 feet under the ground in Hadestown. They called your name before they left, I guess you weren't listening." Lilia answered
"No... " Silver stepped away from Lilia as his eyes widened. How could he let the love of his life die?
"So, how far would you go for them?"
Idia was the ruler of the underground, it turned into warehouse walls and factory floors, it's bright and hot. The workers never stopped working, they never listened or looked at each other, they don't even remember their names or how they look. All they know is the sound of machinery and stomping boots.
That's what you would turn into, a lifeless worker who'll soon forget their name. Until Silver showed up. He walked all the way to Hadestown, just for you "Come home with me... Please."
you were about to respond until Idia appeared "Who are you? Why are you here? " Idia said sternly.
"I'm here to take them home. " Silver responded calmly as he pulled you behind his back as if to shield you from danger.
"Who the hell... They're not going anywhere! They couldn't go anywhere even if they wanted to." Idia left, dragging you along
A few of the workers perked up as they heard that Silver would take you home while others kept working. Most would gain a small sliver of hope and they started to ignore their work, Idia would soon notice this and quickly got annoyed and came stomping out of his office. Daring Silver to sing the song that he's been working on.
Once Silver finished the song he noticed all the workers standing around him and Idia. He completed the song, the song that would set the seasons straight. He got to take you home... But there's a catch.
"You won't be walked hand in hand, nor side to side." Idia started "You" he pointed at Silver "must walk in front while you" he gestured towards you "must walk behind, and he mustn't look back to check if they're coming. If he does they you shall return to Hadestown." Idia said before he walked back to his office.
