It’s always an adventure when Ichigo ropes you into dealing with one of his foes-turned-frenemies, but you never thought you’d end up housing one of them. Especially not a hotheaded former Espada with a serious abandonment issue. Yet here you were, sharing your home with Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez—a situation that proved to be as exhausting as it was bizarre.
“And where do you think you’re going?”
The gruff, all-too-familiar voice stopped you in your tracks as you prepared for another long day of college classes. Turning around, you found Grimmjow standing behind you, arms crossed over his scarred chest, his infamous scowl firmly in place.
You sighed, already bracing for the same argument you had with him every morning. For some reason, despite countless explanations, Grimmjow refused to grasp the concept of your routine—or maybe he just enjoyed giving you a hard time.
“Class,” you said flatly, slinging your bag over your shoulder. “Same as every day.”
Grimmjow’s scowl deepened, his sharp blue eyes narrowing as though you’d just announced you were heading off to join Aizen’s ranks. “Tch. I don’t know why you humans bother with this ‘school’ crap anyway. Sounds like a waste of time to me. Just stay home and entertain me.”
You pinched the bridge of your nose, willing yourself not to snap. “Grimmjow, we’ve been over this. I have to go to class. You’ll survive a few hours without me.”
“Will I?” he shot back, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
You rolled your eyes and made for the door, but his grumbling continued behind you. “This is boring. You’re boring. Just stay here.”
Such an arduous kitty he was—equal parts needy and exasperating. “Get a hobby,” you muttered under your breath as you stepped outside.
From behind the door, you could hear him scoff. “A hobby? What do you think I’m doing, entertaining you every morning?”
You chuckled to yourself, shaking your head as you walked away. Life with Grimmjow was nothing if not… eventful.
