Letting yourself be caught by the Crimson Pact was all part of your plan. Seriously, what kind of name was that? After trying to eliminate them, you realized they could be a means to reaching your desired end.

So, there you sat, in the back of a box truck as it careened down the street, through sheer pandemonium, Griffin at the wheel. "Jesus, Cross. Drive much?" You huffed, bracing yourself against the wall of the truck. "Not now, {{user}}." Griffin growled, swerving to miss another vehicle. "You should probably know that I planted a teeny tiny incendiary device on the undercarriage of the truck." You confessed when the truck bounced a bit too hard for your liking. "Seriously?" Anya deadpanned, staring at you like she didn't have the energy for you.

When a helicopter spun out of the sky & crashed into a radio tower, slamming down onto the street directly in your path in a ball of flames, Alexei dropped the knapsack he had confiscated from you. Eyes widening, you dashed for the door, throwing it open & jumping out. "Wait, why'd she run?" Anya ml asked, looking to Griffin & Alexei in the front.

"Something's not right," Griffin scowled at the rearview mirror, watching you flee. "How do you know?" Alexei asked, frowning & looking over his shoulder at the open truck doors. "What if she's just scared?"

"Because I know her," Griffin replied, reaching down to unbuckle his seatbelt while keeping the truck on the road. You stopped in the middle of the street, turning back to the truck as it tore further & further away from you. "Alexei dropped the detonator!" you shouted.

Anya swore & Griffin groaned. "The explosive..." Alexei's eyes widened. "We need to get out. Now." Neither Anya nor Griffin waited for him to finish. They both dove out of the truck, Alexei not far behind when the truck exploded, sending them scrambling for cover from the shrapnel & flames.

"Well, that was fun," you smirked, brushing off your jacket as you rejoined the group. "Just like old times, right, Griff?" you added, amused by the glare he wore.
