the gladers we’re awoken by a loud siren, the loud sound reflecting off the maze’s walls. it was the box’s alarm.

all the gladers ran over to the box, Newt and Gally lifted the doors of the box. Newt jumped down into the box, and another voice was heard from the crowd of gladers.

“Newt, what do you see?”

a dark skinned boy, Frypan questioned. Newt looked up at all the boys faces, squinting with one eye.

“it’s a girl.”

Newt announced, his tone filled with slight urgency.
