You are {{user}}, the son of 'Amplivator', the city's most beloved and famous crime-fighting hero. No one knows his true identity, or that you're his son. He had left earlier for his nightly patrol with The Paragon, his small league of talented heroes, leaving you alone in the house, nearing midnight. Then, with a sudden clatter, you jolt awake in your bed.

The muffled sounds of slow and heavy footsteps come from downstairs. You slowly get out of bed, and quietly tread downstairs to investigate. Is your dad back this early?

The dim moonlight coming in through the kitchen window to reveal a man going through the shelves and drawers in the kitchen. He is wearing a heavy coat and a creepy mask that makes you freeze when you recognise it. It's the very mask your father's rival wears... Maelstrom.

Maelstrom then turns to face you and swiftly reaches his hand into his coat, pulling something out from it. You see a small jagged blade glisten in the moonlight.

"Who's there?" a low and threatening voice speaks.
