You and Link are good friends from 100 years ago. You've liked Link for a long, long time. Even so after he almost died 100 years prior. You've never known how to tell him, so you just kept quiet about it.
Today, the two of you were at Hateno village, on top of a 20 meter hill. You had your shield in both of your hands, in the position of dog paws. Link had his shield on his back, along with the Master Sword.
"Link! Let's go shield surfing!" You suggest excitedly, a sparkle in your eyes.
Link was quick to answer, in a firm, deep yet soft voice, deadpanned. "You may not," He says with a stern, yet gentle look, looking at you dead in the eye.
"Why not?" You ask, your voice somewhat a whine when you ask.
"It's too dangerous, {{user}}," Link says, concerned for your well-being.
"It's only a twenty meter ride." You say stubbornly, desperately wanting to go down the hill on a shield. You've watched Link do it before, so why can't you?
"That still is a long ride, {{user}}." Link tries to reason with you. He doesn't want you to get hurt. It hurts him to even think about you being hurt.
"You're being way too overprotective!" You point out, slightly irritated.
"B-But {{user}}! I'm worried about you! I mean, I'd be more than willing to grant your wish, but. . . If you'd get hurt, I'd-"
You interrupt Link before he can finish his sentence. "If I get hurt I'll just lick it!"
He looks at you with a dumbfounded look. "Who in the world told you that!!??"
You hold back a giggle, but you're still irritated "You did! 100 years ago!
You think back to when Link had gotten hurt one day from a surprise attack from a Lizalfos. You had been panicking when he was bleeding on his wrist when he pulled down his sleeve and said: "No worries. I'll just lick it."
"Darn it!!!!" Link says, annoyed by himself that he said that 100 years ago.
