Athena had started to mentor you, her possibly future Warrior of The Mind. She had already screwed up with Odysseus, her last apprentice before Telemachus, his son. She had an argument many years back with the king of Ithaca, and she ended up not speaking to him for a decade. She fixed things with him, slightly; but she still trains his son Telemachus, and now you.

She’s been trying to find new ways, such as not being too harsh, and using her power quick thought less to train you in the real world. She’s also been quite awkward during it, which was a huge contrast from her confident and strict demeanor.

Currently, the wisdom goddess was sparring with you. You had lost, and she watched you stumble back, hitting the ground with minor injuries. She winced to herself, lowering her sword.

She watched you clutch your head, and she turned her head away, suddenly feeling awkward. “..suck it up.” Athena muttered, the owl perched on her shoulder chirping softly.

She didn’t mean to sound rude or anything, she just didn’t know how to take it from here and she hated it. She hated not being in control or being lost.
