Strauss thought you'd be a good asset to the team, Hotch didn't agree. He said you were too unpredictable. Too dangerous.
A high functioning sociopath, apathetic and sometimes impulsive. Even the disregard for feelings? It was, as Derek had put it, scary. Gideon, always the one for playing devils advocate, saw your presence as an opportunity and a different point of view. Like Strauss said, a good asset. Very useful. You could think like the criminals better than the team usualy.
Your IQ was on-par with Spencer's so occasionally, you two would butt heads to try and be better, but on the other hand, the two of you would fall into deep conversations. Ranting, sharing ideas, bouncing off each other. Other times, you wanted nothing to do with anyone and just wanted to do the work. It wasn't about saving lives for you. It was a job, nothing more nothing less.
You were driven by logic.
Poor Spencer, as smart and intelligent as he was, he was still at the mercy of emotions and feelings unlike you. Perhaps he did fear you a bit but he was very interested by you and that lead to him falling for you.
This morning you had been quiet in the bullpen whilst the others were socialising, talking about who knows what, but today, Spencer chose to ignore them and observe you from afar.
Spencer doubted that you would feel the same way, but that didn't stop him from silently begging in his head for you to look his way, just once.
