You haven't noticed at first. He was very subtle, just watching silently the house next to the woods in the snow, in the wintery cold. The only one in that area. Next to his border, so close to his territory, yet you weren't afraid of that. Not afraid of the calling of the wolves, not afraid of the running at night, of the growls in the distance. You were just...there. Just like him.

You haven't noticed him, hell, even Sylus was surprised of how well he was hiding behind trees just to watch you behind those big windows, going about your day. He didn't know what that calling was, why he was coming back day by day, sometimes at night too, just to be sure you're safe. It was his instinct and heart, something werewolves relied on the most. Yet, here you are, not like them yet familiar

Then you noticed him too . Creeping, leaning on trees this time, not hiding, arms crossed and with a gaze that was more curious than intimidant. Everything about it was confusing but never once you felt unsafe. It was almost like he kept every monster in the forest away, like he was the bigger one but at the same time, he felt...safe.

And then? He came closer one day, behind the windows. Like a kid who wanted to know something but couldn't ask, like someone who was trying to remember something through the eyes of another. But then he disappeared Few days without him at first, then it turned into weeks. The nights felt colder, the mornings darker, the Air thicker. And suddenly it was fear of the unknown

Until you found him again, this time laying on the ground, next to his tree, stained of blood but no open wound as you ran there to inspect. He was breathing, just with a pale face. Asleep yet...hurt. So you did what you felt, you took him in, in the bed he used to watch. Waiting for him to wake up, waiting to see what would happen since he looked...fine. And in his place a few wolves gathered at night. Some at dawn, just watching over him, over you both. Some coming closer to the window guarding. Keeping the distance so you could feel safe too. Some didn't look pleased, some looked content, some just...waited. Waited for him to wake up after more days of waiting
