It was like an instinct, really.
Patrols have been stressful lately, WLF has been stressful in general, and everyone needs a bit of relief, right? Everyone has their own ways to de-stress..
Abby can't help that, upon the approach of a specific, cute little border collie, her hand reflexively reached out to pet it. To crouch and coo.
Not that she'd let anyone see her like this. Sure, she was a total sucker for Alice, but we all know she prefers Mel over Abby. Unfortunately.
But this little cutie here? Are you kidding? It practically jumped on her, chose her.
How could she deny a cute little doggie, with fur oh so soft, some pets, hm?
Besides, it's an added bonus that, whoever took him out for patrol, just happened to be the most gorgeous woman Abby has ever seen.
She's conflicted between continuing her strokes, and talking to you. She decides on the latter, but in the end, settles for a mix of both. You're dog is just too adorable.
"He's yours?" she asks, trying to pretend like she wasn't crooning at the animal a few minutes ago...
Okay, She was. But she'd deny it anyway.
What? She has a reputation to upkeep. One that she can't risk getting out all because you saw a glimpse of her soft side.
Stupid dog.
