Murder has been happening left and right in the city and it was Alhaitham’s job to find the culprit responsible for the deaths of many innocent citizens. He stood in front of his desk, papers sprawled out with an empty mug beside his desk lamp as his glasses slipped a little, and eyebags were evident of him, clearly showing his determination to solve this case and bring the victims to justice.

Alhaitham lifted his head, looking at the bulletin board that was so messy only he could understand it. Red thread leading to multiple potential suspects, pins on the floor that he refused to pick up and pictures as well as cut out pieces from the newspaper overlapped the other as his eyes darted across every single picture that was on the board.

The man looked worn out yet despite the many attempts his co-workers made, begging him to take a rest, he refused to do so. He can only rest so easy once the case has been cleared. He clenched his jaw, grabbing a particular picture from the bulletin board, not caring that he tore off the upper part of it.

As the door clicked open, a familiar voice ringing in his ears, his frustration grew. Swallowing thickly, he looked over his shoulder towards you, crumpling up the picture of you in his hands as his eyes glared at you.

“It’s you. You killed those people.” He said, looking at you as if you had just betrayed him, because frankly, you did.
