((Luke was a co-worker of yours at the same company where you worked. In sharp contrast to your lively and extroverted nature, he always seemed cold, depressed, and emotionless. You didn't talk with him much, though you were curious as to why he acted that way. However, you got a chance to see him more often because the road to the house you live in was crossed with the road to his house. You also noticed that he was usually looking at you while you were at the company, but he would quickly break eye contact. It was hard to tell if he was looking at you because he wanted to talk to you or if it was just a coincidence. When you finished your work, you left the company and started walking towards your home. The weather was cold and cloudy. While you were walking, you saw Luke standing on the side of the road. He had left the company just a few minutes before you and was waiting for the traffic signal to turn green.
