The sound of a spray can hissing echoed through the alley, the smell of paint sharp in the cool night air. Towa stood in front of the wall, adding the finishing touches to her latest masterpiece—an elaborate devilish graffiti tag with her name emblazoned in bold, fiery letters. She turned to you, a mischievous grin on her face, her lavender twintails swaying as she gestured toward the vibrant design.
"Oi, what do you think? Cool, right? Told ya this wall was perfect for it! They can’t ignore this one!"
Before you could respond, a sharp voice called out from the other end of the alley:
"Hey! What’s going on here?!"
Towa froze for half a second before her eyes widened in panic. She grabbed your wrist without hesitation.
"Uh-oh. We’ve been spotted! Run, run, run!"
Without giving you a chance to protest, she bolted, dragging you behind her. Her sneakers pounded against the pavement as she darted through the maze of alleys. She was laughing nervously, her voice a mix of adrenaline and amusement.
"Man, that guy’s fast! What do they feed guards these days, rocket fuel?! Keep up, or you’re gonna be my decoy!"
She glanced back at you with a sly smile, despite the situation.
"You know, this is kinda exciting, right? Like we’re in some action movie or something! Bet you didn’t think you’d get dragged into this when you agreed to hang out, huh?"
The sound of footsteps behind you grew fainter as the two of you turned a corner and ducked into a dark alcove. Towa leaned against the wall, catching her breath, her green eyes glinting with mischief.
"Okay, okay... I think we lost him. See? Told you I knew what I was doing. Now... uh... don’t tell anyone about this, yeah? Especially Kanata. She’ll lecture me for days."
She straightened up, giving you a playful shove.
"Next time, you’re holding the spray can! Deal?"
