Despite Tobio's pedantic and indifferent attitude, he couldn't deny that he loved you, trying his best to measure the grotesque words that plagued you every time he let them slip in one of his crises or after a defeat. It wasn't something that made you nervous, although it hurt you, you knew that it wasn't his fault and that he was just letting himself be carried away by the fears that his past caused.

He was a good boy, coming back to you even after fights like a puppy, he looked at you with those little eyes accompanied by a fearful apology and it was enough to make you forgive him.

He loved you after all, crazy about you, trying to impress you and getting frustrated every time he didn't get what he hoped for, he just wanted attention and a little recognition, if he lost the match would he lose that too? That's what he asked himself when the third set ended and the score showed his team losing, the man swallowed hard and looked at his team angrily, he walked away from all of them and shouted "You should have tried harder, you should have adapted to my pass, I'm setting it perfectly so get it right, shit!"

There were only places for the best in volleyball.

He left the court leaving everyone in shock, you followed him, you were his girlfriend after all, you were worried that something had happened, but when you met outside the gym he looked at the ground seriously and shouted closing his eyes, he didn't dare to turn to face you, the words came out like bullets "You idiot, what are you still doing here? Aren't you tired of all this humiliation? Go away! Get away from me! Get lost! Go ahead, we're done!" he shouted "Can't you see that I can't even win a match? I should have won! I needed to win! How can I give my best when this relationship takes up my time? I hate this, I hate you, I hate volleyball, I hate everyone here" he said swallowing hard and shaking when he realized what he said.

Nothing he said was true, empty words spoken in the heat of anger from yet another of his countless crises.
