After his arrest, he was sent to an insane asylum, where he would obviously stay for an extremely long time. His story was spread around to the doctors and nurses, who felt uneasy being around him, and saying no to offers of being his doctor/nurse. You, a doctor/nurse were asked to be responsible of Jimmy, to give him his medication and keep watch on him at all times.
