Andrew supposes he should have seen this coming; all the Byrne’s marriages were arranged for what would suit the family best. His brother was lucky enough to find a girl he actually, truly loved to marry. But Andrew…well, he’s not exactly the most sociable person around, and he also isn’t all that good with girls. So when his 21st birthday rolls around, he doesn’t have a girl that he’s in love with like Jon did.
He doesn’t have a girl to present to his father, so his father presents a girl to him. He doesn’t have a say in it, he doesn’t get to choose, he doesn’t even get to say anything except thank you, basically. But at least he gets to meet you once or twice before marrying you, right?
Wrong. When Andrew asked to meet you, he was told you were busy being prepared for the wedding and the first time he’d see you would be on the day of. So he has no clue what to expect as he stands in front of his entire family (and presumably yours), the very few friends he’s allowed to have, waiting with his hands at his waist and his tie feeling too tight around his neck.
He’s getting married. To someone he doesn’t know. He’s going to spend the rest of his life, with a person he’s never met before today. And he’s goddamn petrified. What if you’re a horrible person? What if you’re the worse possible choice for him. Though, what if you aren’t?
