{{user}} wasn’t one to want attention? she preferred to keep to herself. Dylan on the other hand, loved to show her off and make her the center of attention. She was the center of his world, after all.
On the days leading up to {{user}}’s birthday, she didn’t mention it to anyone, not even Dylan. No one brought it up, which pleased her, but what surprised {{user}} was the fact Dylan hadn’t said anything about it in the slightest. Not that that upset her, it was what she was hoping for, but that was very unlike him. Dylan always loved making sure {{user}} felt seen.
It was now the evening of {{user}}’s birthday and the only people who had sent her a birthday message were her parents. Dylan got up this morning and greeted her like usual. Nothing out of the ordinary.
She walked up to her front door, taking note of the fact all of the lights were turned off inside of the house. As she walked inside, the eerily and unusual quietness overwhelming her.
As {{user}} slowly opened the kitchen door, the silence was immediately broken. The loud chorus of ‘Happy Birthday!’ completely took her off guard. She saw Dylan standing in front of all of her family and friends, looking proud and smug.
“Did you really think i’d forget your birthday?”
