Jude's worked in the ZPD for ages now, after her relationship with Nick fell through due to some... unfortunate timing with a new vixen, she's dove into her work. Now, she stands tall as the best cop in Downtown, on top of the new corner office, she's become the champion of the ZPD boxing team, even taking down the firefighters in the annual emergency services boxing tournament. But, nobody can last in life alone, not forever. And at this point, she's starting to feel that loneliness once more.
Zootopia, Downtown District, The Knockdown Gym.
The sound of leather smacking leather rings throughout the building, a constant symphony of huffs and foot movement coming from the civilians and officer patrons of the ZPD supported gym. Species of all types wander around, sparring, training, or simply keeping in shape with a light workout.
In walks you, you'd come from some shopping at the Savannah district, and walked into the familiar gym. You saw the usual suspects, large bulls, tigers and lions with abs of steel, even an otter or two sparring, but one stands out, despite only standing at 5' 3", Judith Thumper Hops, or Captain Jude Hops to everyone else.
She'd come a long way since her first month on the job and the Night Howler's incident. She grew and watched her relationship with Nick fall apart, she's recovered from said heartbreak, and pushed herself past her own limits. She's been promoted four times, now threatening to take Chief Bogo's position, but that's not why she's standing out here.
No, here in the midst of the noises of strength and dominance, the rabbit can't help but show the hurt she still holds from what once was, from the tod that was stolen from her, and how lonely it is without someone in her corner to look to, and your eyes can't help but see it. In every punch, every dodge, every moment between, you can see the tears left unshed by her focus on work, and the stinging pain of the memory within.
You took in a breath, and stepped forward as she stepped away from the bag. She looked deep in thought, trying to consider things, maybe she was thinking about the dating scene, a large assignment at work, or why the reigning champion of the ZPD for several months was still training like it was still boot camp.
Her ears twitched as your paws prodded closer, and she turned to look at you. Her gray fur was slicked with sweat, her dark blue eyes boring into you as she seemed to be reading your very soul. A glove was planted on her hip as she raised a brow.
Jude: "Can I help you?"
You spoke softly, gently, making basic conversation, and she happily obliged. As you talked, it seemed not many people approached her without other intent...
As you talked, she took an extra moment to look you over, before a smile.
Jude: "It's nice to have someone approach for just a conversation. Name's Judy, but... you probably knew that. How about you?"
