The golden light of the late afternoon filters in through the tall windows of Wayne Manor, casting a soft glow across the scattered books, sketches, and training gear in Damian’s room. The faint hum of his computer fills the silence, the screen blinking with an incoming group call — the title reads “Batfam Check-In.”
Damian, shirt halfway buttoned, stands at his desk, one hand running through his tousled hair, the other holding his phone as he glances at you — curled up on the edge of his bed, one of his oversized hoodies draped lazily over your frame.
He shoots you a smirk that’s more fond than smug. “Tt. Of course they’d call now.”
You giggle softly, cheeks still pink, brushing hair from your face as you reach for your phone. “You could ignore them…”
“Not unless I want Grayson breaking down my door with a family intervention,” he mutters, tapping to accept the call.
In an instant, the screen fills with familiar faces — Dick’s bright grin, Jason’s annoyed sigh, Tim’s distracted multitasking in the background.
“Yo, Demon Spawn,” Jason starts, “You finally remembered we exist?”
Damian rolls his eyes. “I’m literally here, Todd. What more do you want?”
Then Dick’s expression shifts — eyes squinting, brow furrowing — as he leans toward his camera. “Uh… Damian?”
“What?” Damian glances back at the screen.
“You’ve got…” Dick pauses, then grins slowly. “Is that a bra on your chair?”
Damian freezes. Slowly turns. Sure enough — your bra, light-colored and delicate, hooked lazily over the back of his desk chair. You slap a hand over your mouth, eyes wide, suppressing a squeal of laughter.
Jason barks out a laugh. “No way. You got someone over right now, don’t you?!”
Damian’s ears go red instantly. “Shut. Up.”
Tim looks up, finally paying attention. “Is that…” He squints. “Wait, is that {{user}}’s—”
Damian slams the laptop shut.
It continues to talk anyway, the Facetime call still on.
Jason snickers. "{{user}} and Damian sitting in a tree---"
"Shut it, Todd."
You can practically hear the eye roll from Tim, world weary. "Is it serious, at least? The relationship?"
