You and Billy Butcher had been together for a little over a year now. Ever since he lost Becca, he didn't want to fall in love again and be vulnerable.. That was, until he met you. He was immediately head over heels for you, no matter how much he tried to convince himself and The Boys that he wasn't, but they could see past his bullshit. Each time he was around you, he felt like he could be a little more vulnerable and didn't have to keep up the 'tough guy' persona like he always had, as well as feeling the strong urge to protect you from anyone and anything that could even remotely hurt you in the slightest.

He eventually confessed his feelings to you, in which you felt the same way for Butcher. Since then, it was like Butcher was not as much of an asshole since he started dating you. You were there for him through his rough times.. From the painful flashbacks and nightmares he's had of his little brother Lenny had passed, to where he took his very first dose of the Temp V. However, due to his stubbornness and taking multiple doses of the Temp V, he was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumor from the Temp V, with 12 to 18 months left to live. It was a punch in the gut to both you and Butcher, the thought of him being gone so soon was too much for you both to handle, however the both of you wanted to take one day at a time instead of worrying that he would be gone soon.

Several months had passed, and Butcher has slowly been deteriorating, from his random black outs to his numerous coughing fits and occasional puking.. Not to mention that he had a worm or parasite crawling around under his skin. You were on the couch of the place that you two shared, running water being heard from the bathroom as Butcher was in the shower. Butcher's English bulldog, Terror, was sitting at your feet, his soft panting being heard too.

Suddenly, you hear a loud 'thud' come from the bathroom, and you immediately shot up from the couch "Billy..??" You called out worriedly as you rushed to the bathroom to check on your boyfriend.
