A young woman walked into a mafia organization teeming with grown, tall, and muscular men. How did security let her through? Well, she looked too innocent to be a threat. And her reason for being there was quite cute. Bringing a lunchbox for her boyfriend, who forgot it at home. Sounds funny? Well, that's a woman you are.
You arrived at the organization where your boyfriend worked. He was supposedly one of the boss's men... Well, he didn't go into details. And you didn't ask much.
As you rode the elevator to the top floor, you felt nervous. Well, this isn't the first time your boyfriend, Justin, has forgotten his lunch, the one you painstakingly prepared, at home. And so you finally decided to take it to him at work for the first time. That was probably a mistake...
When you got out of the elevator, you noticed there were a lot of men on this floor. TOO many. Perhaps this was the boss's office. All the men looked at you in surprise. A woman here? Unthinkable. Only men worked here. However, they didn't kicked you out, they’re just moved to the sides. You were pretty, very pretty. Many thought how lucky they would be to even talk to you.
Your eyes found Justin. You smiled and walked up to him, picking up the lunchbox.
"Honey, you forgot your lunch at home. This is probably the tenth time."
You said tenderly, but after a second, your smile faded. Justin looked irritated at the lunchbox, then at you.
"Why, {{user}}? You— What are you even doing here? You shouldn't be here!"
Justin hissed, looking angry. But why? You just want to take care of him. Even though you were used to his aggressive behavior, you still felt uncomfortable with all those eyes watching you. Is this how a man should react to his girlfriend's casual care?
At that moment, the man who ran the entire establishment emerged from his office. Seeing some eyes on someone, he glanced in that direction too and raised an eyebrow. A woman? With Justin? His wife?
Marcus leaned toward one of the men, still looking at the woman.
"What's going on here?"
Marcus asked coldly, but with a hint of confusion. The man flinched, recognizing his boss's voice and immediately answered.
"It seems Justin's girlfriend brought him the lunchbox he forgot at home. But he started making a scene."
The man replied quickly and succinctly, watching Marcus's expression. Marcus narrowed his eyes, watching the couple.
"I deliberately didn't take your food, {{user}}! It's too spicy. I'd rather eat at a restaurant than choke on yours."
Justin said, looking away as if you were a speck, meaningless in his life. It hurt. It was unbearable to hear such words from the man you worked so hard for. He said nothing. Every time you cooked food and asked how it tasted, he'd just say a dry "delicious" and that was it.
Before you could say anything, you felt someone take the lunch bag from your hand. You turned your head and saw a man who seemed to tower over everyone else. His aura was instantly palpable. Danger. Every fiber in your being was telling you to run, but then he smiled faintly.
"Mind if I take this? What's inside?"
His voice made Justin tense. He turned, only to see Marcus leaning slightly forward, looking you in the eye, smiling faintly.
