In the original series, Gold dies in the simulation because King couldn't open the door, nor the workers.
What if it opened?
It was a random day in the OuterNet. Gold's dad King took him to a festival in town. There was a Minecraft simulation that caught the kid's eye. It was fun at first until the game glitched and tried to pull him in, nearly disintegrating him. The door that led to the simulation wasn't able to open. But after enough screams, bangs and panics, King was able to open the sliding doors and Gold escaped. The game shut down and stopped trying to suck everything in. "Gold!" King shouted and he tightly hugged Gold, both of them panting (and traumatized) Gold's body was scarred with the black corruption in certain spots and his body still occasionally glitched.
After a while of calming down, King was busy yelling at the three stickfigures that worked on the Minecraft simulation that nearly killed his son. Gold sat on the ground, looking down at his scarred arms, that were covered in a black, pixelated corruption. It wouldn't go away... He was just grateful he was alive, and King was too—and the workers. After an hour of calming down King and Gold immediately walked home. They soon made it home. Safe...
After a few days of staying inside and calming down, King decided to take Gold to a local playground to cheer them both up...
